It's been awhile since I've linked up for Five on Friday, so you know I have plenty of random things to include! ;)
1.Birthday Countdown - Well it is offically birthday month for my kiddos! Much to Manny's delight. He has been asking for MONTHS now if it's his birthday yet. So, I decided a birthday countdown might help him visualize how much longer we're looking at. I designed this in Photoshop and had it printed as a 12x16 poster at SAM's for about $3. We're only a few days in, but so far so good! We'll see how it goes the rest of the month. Yesterday he did ask if he could go ahead and mark the rest of the turtles off so it could be his birthday already. :)
2. Life Outside the Shell - I'm so proud of my awesome "little" sister Rachael who recently started a blog! It's called Life Outside the Shell, and she will be writing about faith, fitness, and family. Her first post here explains the name and why she decided to start her blog. I'm so excited for her fitness posts, too! These tabata workouts she posted here are killer. So very proud of you Rach!!

3. Maeva's Phone Obsession - So the iPhone bug has officially bitten Maeva. She loves to use my phone, but not really for games. She likes to type on it, and will text random people gibberish often. Her latest thing is taking pictures. I discovered a slew of selfies she took the other day (this is only a fraction of them). It's always interesting (and frightening) to see the things she photographs. :)
Oh, and she also took it upon herself to tweet for me. A few people contacted me to ask if this was my entry back into tweeting since I haven't tweeted in months. ;) It makes me laugh that she tweeted the dog. Such a mess!!4. First Things First - Christine Caine is one of my favorite speakers, and I was so excited when I saw she is doing a little daily devotional via email now, called First Things First. It's a quick, easy read but always full of wisdom and great reminders...I love starting my day with this. You can go here to sign up for the emails if you're interested.
5. Eucerin Intensive Repair Very Dry Skin Lotion - Ashley posted about this lotion on insta the other day, and I decided to give it a try. I love how shiny it makes your legs but they don't feel greasy at all, and it really just moisturizes well. I picked mine up at Target, and am glad to have a new lotion that I like that is unscented. (I don't like scents sometimes because it clashes with my perfume.) Patrick noticed the lotion right away because he said my legs were "glowing"...haha! Mission accomplished. ;)
That's all for today! Headed to Dallas for the weekend for my nephew's 3rd birthday party. Excited for a fun time with the fam...happy weekend, friends! :)
My daughter has been known to take selfies with my phone. That's about all she can do from the off position. Love how you captured all of your daughter's selfies and shared it. Very cute!
