Christmas Tour of Homes: Part 1

I'm a little late getting my Christmas Tour of Homes post up for The Nester and Kelly's Korner, but things just haven't slowed down yet! I have over 2,000 unread blog posts in my google reader now, and countless emails to respond to. I promise I will get to them eventually! This is such a busy time of year and I'm looking forward to some down time - hopefully soon. :)

As I've previously mentioned, this year our house was part of our community's Parade of Homes. That being the case, I made an effort to do some sort of decorating in every room in our house. No, I didn't have a tree up in every single room, but they said that'd be okay. I don't know how some people do 5+ trees - that'd be exhausting!  So here's the tour of our home for Christmas 2010...prepare for picture overload. :) And I must start by saying I couldn't have done it without my wonderful mother - thank you SO SO much mom for all of your help and amazing ideas....you are the best and I love you to pieces! :)
For the front entry & veranda, we used lots of live greenery & ribbon to give it a simple yet festive touch. I also cut out "Merry Christmas" using my Cricut to put on the front door. We had the chiminea burning as well as the fountain running .
We put some fresh greenery in the chandelier in the entryway, though you can't see it very well in this picture.
We decorated the dining room in turquoise and red because I'm totally obsessed with those colors, and I love how it turned out!
The butler'../../2010/12/diy-5-apothecary-jars.html">$5 DIY apothecary jars and DIY glitter ornaments hanging in the wine racks.
The next few pictures are of the kitchen, laundry room, and garage entry. Again we just did a few decorative touches in each of these areas.

And here is our tree! You can read all about it here if you'd like.

Well unfortunately it's taking forever to upload pictures, so I'm going to stop here for now. Tomorrow I'll be sharing our Christmas card for Faith's Christmas Card Carousel, and Thursday I will finish up our Christmas Home Tour with the bedrooms, bathrooms, and back veranda, so please stop back by. Merry Christmas! :)
