Doctor's Appointment

Sorry I didn't get the chance to post yesterday - somehow even on "bed rest" I've stayed busy! :) First of all, thank you guys SO much for all of your sweet comments, words of encouragement, and prayers from my last post...I really appreciate it and just reminds me of how glad I am to be part of the blogging community! So thank you again from the bottom of my heart. :)

My doctor's appointment went great! My blood pressure is back down to a safe range, and my lab results all looked good. He wants me to stay on bed rest because obviously it worked. In all honesty, my bed rest has been more of a "modified" bed rest, so he said to just keep doing what I've been doing since Tuesday because it worked. So I'm just mostly taking it easy, but still getting around some. :) I go back to the doctor on Monday, and I'll be 39 and 1 then. So hopefully I'll be dilated some by then!

Last night we had a last minute child-birthing class. We never attended the classes because they seemed to fall when we had plans to be out of town, and also because at that time E was breech so I was just planning on a c-section, so it wasn't a top priority for me. Fortunately the sweet nurse who does it really wanted me to have the chance to do it, so nothing like cramming the week before your due date...so classic Sarah. We actually really enjoyed it and it just made me so excited and relaxed my nerves more on what's to come. Still scared? Um, yes. But Patrick is going to be so amazing and calming, and last night when we were practicing breathing and positions I just got all emotional realizing how great he is and how excited I am to be getting to do this with him. God has truly blessed us!

I am working on the post about the nursery details and hope to have that up soon. I've actually had to stay off the computer somewhat because I have some pregnancy induced carpal tunnel, and it seems to be getting worse lately. So that's why I've been hit & miss here.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

I'm happy to hear that going to the birthing class actually helped you feel closer to your husband and also make you a little more relaxed about labor.

I think everyone is really nervous, especially with your first child. I know I was! You will do great. :)
