Day 2

We are doing great and just getting in the groove of things. I will share more of his birth story later, but it ended with an emergency c-section so we're moving a little slow at this time. I hope to go home on Friday, and start to get settled. In the meantime, I will share some pictures of my favorite little guy. :)

With my mom - they are birthday buddies now!! SO special. :)
0 days old and not enjoying the dress-up party I was making him participate in. :)
And here we are hanging out in the matching pj's my sister got us. :)
He has had some issues with low blood sugar, so they had to do an iv, so that's what you see on his arm. Praise the Lord he is doing much better and will hopefully get it taken out tomorrow night. I am still on cloud 9...God is so amazing. And thank you all for your sweet comments and prayers throughout this all! :)

  12. He is absolutely perfect! I had to have an emergency C-Section as well. Take it easy and try not to overdo it. And might I suggest Mederma if someone hasn't already told you about it. I used it after about a month and continued use for 3 months. And now you can barely even see the scar! MEDERMA IS AMAZING!!
Enjoy this time with your precious little newborn.

  17. Not that you don't know....but he is SO BEAUTIFUL!! (And you can clearly tell he is so smart!!) Take it easy and remember you just had major surgery...so take advantage of all the arms that want to hold him! I had a c-section too and it certainly throws a wrench in the works. But, man, are those gorgeous babies worth it! Don't beat yourself up for taking extra naps on the couch, it is just your body's way of healing too.

Again, CONGRATS!! Baby boys are simply the best!!!

  21. Really enjoyed reading your story! I was reading the post on how you told your hubby and starting crying, not just tears but the whole shoulders jerking and choking....my husband just looked over at me with a "what the heck" kinda look.haha I am so excited for your new family. I have such a burdened heart for women who cannot conceive so it is always such a joy to hear of God's mighty miracles in situations like these. Love the nursery too! Last time I was at IKEA I had the same bedding picked out but we didn't find out the gender and I had it picked out for a girl but it looks super cute for a boy also. I will probably blog about Zeke's nursery next, I need something to blog about and that would be perfect.
